I am deeply saddened by the passing of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, a visionary leader whose contributions to humanity, particularly in Pakistan, will always be remembered with immense respect and gratitude. His tireless efforts in the fields of healthcare, education, banking, and hospitality have left an indelible mark on our nation.
Through the Aga Khan Development Network, his leadership brought transformative changes to Pakistan’s healthcare system, with the Aga Khan University Hospital setting new benchmarks in medical excellence. His contributions to the banking sector, particularly through Habib Bank Limited, played a vital role in strengthening Pakistan’s financial landscape. His efforts in promoting tourism and cultural heritage through the Serena Hotels further enriched our nation’s economy and global standing.
Beyond his institutional contributions, His Highness was a symbol of wisdom, compassion, and service. His commitment to fostering pluralism, education, and economic development uplifted countless lives, making a lasting impact on the people of Pakistan.
As we mourn his passing, I extend my warmest regards to His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan, the new Imam.
